PHS Auditorium.
The
AP Room will be closed Thursday, October 6 th which is a day B. Juniors and seniors can either go to the
cafeteria or the media center during their free period. Period 7/8 study hall should report to the
Choral room 114.

Please support the Sophomore Class by visiting our Snack Sale in the Cafeteria
this Friday, October 7th. Muffins, pastries, and drinks will be for sale during
all lunch waves on this half day of school.
So remember your spare change on Friday... and thanks again for
supporting the Class of 2014!
The
Adopt-A-Grandparent Club will be holding a meeting for all members on
Wednesday, October 12th.
Students should gather in room 304 in the Language hallway at 2:15. Please contact Emily Bousaada,
Jenny Curry or Ms. Hennessey if you cannot attend. If you are interested & did not attend
the last meeting we are still welcoming new members.
The Ecology Club will meet in the cafeteria at 2:15 on Thursday, October
6.
There will be a brief meeting TODAY, October 5th for all candidates
running for Freshman Student Council, immediately after school in room 413. We
will be discussing the upcoming elections. Please make every effort to attend.
If you can not, see Mrs. Elsdon or Ms. Hennessey
ASAP.
FBLA members need to stop by and see
Mrs. Brevetti by the end of TODAY.
Sign ups for winter sports are this
week. The sign ups are for the sports of Skiing, Wrestling, Gymnastics,
Indoor Track, Boys Swimming, JV Cheerleading, Ice Hockey, Boys and Girls
Basketball. The sign ups are for
freshmen and for students who did not play last year. Students who
played a winter sport last year do not need to sign up. There is a sign-up table in the lobby outside
the Main Gym. Please sign up by Friday, October 7th.”
Do you want to make action-packed movies? Do you want
to make people laugh as hard as they can with a hilarious comedy? Do you want
to watch Zombies run a muck through a city of
frightened city goers? Then the Filmmakers Club is the club for you! We
want to do our best to make a movie every year. We meet Thursday, October
6th at 2:15 in room 106 (The room with the TV outside. Located near the Principals
office) Meetings are every Thursday after school from 2:15 to 3:00. If you're
an actor, writer, editor or anything else, we could use you on the team!
PHS soccer booster club will be
selling Pomperaug winter style hats during lunch
on Fridays in Oct . The cost of the hats are $30. These are wool hats with Nordic design, school
colors of red, black and white and have Pomperaug stitched in front. They
were created to not be sport specific so that they may be used at all sports
and PHS functions by students and families and even faculty to show
school spirit at PHS functions.
The Hungry Panther Cafe is opening TODAY,
Oct 5 in Room 117 at 2:15PM. The Cafe will be open every Wednesday until
4:30 PM. Try our fabulous new Whoopie Pies and homemade pizza!
