Circulation:

Staff, and Students (with identification cards) are welcome to check out materials for the following loan periods:

Books (non-reference) 2 weeks (may be renewed for an additional 2 weeks)
Audio books 2 weeks (may be renewed for an additional 2 weeks)
Videos (teachers only) 1 week (may be renewed for an additional week)

Please make an effort to return materials on time, or renew them for an additional loan period.  If materials you wish to borrow are not in, let us know, and we'll be glad to place them on hold, and notify you upon their return.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Designed to put a “friendly face” on technology, these two sites help teachers increase their information literacy and technology skills.

 Teacher’s Corner -  Offers websites and “online tutorials” and printable handouts of the following programs: Inspiration, Outlook, Internet Tips, FrontPage.

Of Interest to Teachers  - Offers an Internet directory of carefully selected quality resources connecting teachers to curricular materials, state and national standards, copyright information, professional associations / publications, and much more.

READER’S ADVISORY

Book Discussion Group - The PHS Book Discussion Group will meet once a month to discuss quality young adult literature.  Site will include a listing titles from past discussions rated by the group as well as future selections.

Wondering What To Read Next? - This "readers advisory", organized by genre and theme provides lists of like titles complete with links to online book reviews.

SCHOOL-TO-HOME CONNECTION

Research Unit Archive – Arranged by grade, this site provides parents with links to online units (which have been collaboratively developed by myself and subject area teachers), complete with resource lists, Internet Search Tips, worksheets, and more.
