World War I – A part of Fordham University's "Internet Modern History Sourcebook".  This site is made up of primary source readings, some of which will be assigned to P.H.S. classes.  An outstanding site with information on the path to war, the prosecution of the war, resistence, literature, and the aftermath.

Encyclopedia of the First World War-- an excellent place to start your research.

PBS Series on the Great War-- the PBS web site on the TV documentary series on WWI. Lots of good information, including photos, time lines, maps, and interviews.

Conflict in Balkans - An interactive exercise on the causes of World War I and the situation in the Balkans today.

Historical Atlas of the 20th Century

Eyewitness to History-- First hand accounts of some of history's great and some of its more mundane events.  Includes some interesting tales from the First World War.

World War One Document Archive -- primary source material from the war.  A very good site.

Treaty of Versailles-- This site contains the full text and maps, as well as links to sites explaining the impact of the treaty.

Propaganda of the World Wars-- tremendous source of propaganda posters from each of the major nations participating in each of the World Wars.

Propaganda Analysis Home Page--  an excellent site categorizing and analyzing various types of propaganda.  An old favorite sited by everyone.

Creative Impulse - The Modern World 100-1945. 330 links.  W.W. I, Russian Revolution, World War II, Art and Architecture, Daily life and culture.
