Modern Africa - A part of Fordham University's "Internet Modern History Sourcebook".  This site is made up of primary source readings, some of which will be assigned to P.H.S. classes.  This page offers readings from the history of Africa since 1900.  This page offers many sources on nationalist struggles.

Library of Congress-- Country Studies--  great source for in-depth information on history,
cultural make up, economics, etc.  Goes way beyond the usual almanac stuff...

Yahoo's Directory of Nations-- a list of nations the world round, with a series of links for
each.  The list of links is very broad...

Information, Please-- a searchable database that offers the information of an almanac.  Try
the options countries and stats

Yahoo-Statistics-- a list of links of statistics world-wide

The Perry-Castaneda Library Map Collection-- an excellent place to get a copy of maps of
various nations

Non-Western Sources on Contemporary Issues-- topics include human rights and the
environment. The site is organized by nation. An excellent source.

The Virtual Tourist-- a great site for information on individual nations.

The CIA Factbook—filled with interesting maps and information on every nation in the world.
