Calendars- Very good site that has sections on all the early civilizations and their methods and reasons for marking time.

Rossetta stone-From the Cleveland Museum - a page dealing with hieroglyphics, the Rosetta Stone discovery and Jean Champollion. Translate some ancient text and learn about the ancient language. Nice Site.

Ancient Egypt -- The British Museum  ***** Explore Egyptian Life, Geography, Pyramids, and Time. Find out where writing was used in Ancient Egypt. Shockwave activities are included for each area of study.

History of Egypt-Site by Greg Reeder "dedicated to examining the art, archaeology, religion and history of Egypt" - go and stay a while exploring the links, read some of the myths,  history of Egypt and religious beliefs, view some ancient and not so ancient art. It's a Top 5% spot

Egyptian gods-Creation Myths and Book of the Dead plus a Symbol List and Mythical Deities List. All of these have images and very nice descriptions or definitions. Great Site .

Hieroglyphics- Fun spot--just type your name in the blank and click a button and a few seconds later you see it in hieroglyphics. You can even print it out if you care to.
