Finding x-intercepts & y-intercepts

Make a table with a 0 for x & a 0 for y. Substitute 0 for x to find the y-intercept. Substitute 0 for y to find the x-intercept.

Ex: Find the intercepts for 3x + 2y = 6.

2	0

3∙0 + 2y = 6 y = 3

3x + 2∙0 = 6 x = 2
