Due to the predicted weather January 19th, the annual Grade 8 High School Transition Night and the upcoming Curriculum Night will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.  This evening will give parents an opportunity to hear from administrators and academic chairpersons in each of the disciplines regarding curricular and instructional programs at the high school. We look forward to welcoming you to the high school and hope to see you at this event.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Senior Semi-Formal has been changed from January 21, 2012 until Thursday, January 26.  The dance will still be at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville from 6:30 until 10:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Tamburini at (203) 262-3203 between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The French Honor Society will be hosting a babysitting day next Saturday, January 28th from 9am – 2 pm in the AP room. This is a great opportunity to get out and about for the day, for your children to socialize with other kids, and to support a great cause! Games and snacks will be provided. Suggetested donation is $4 per hour per child.

There will be a brief Interact meeting on Wed., Feb. 1st at 2:15 in the Choral Room:

Go with the Ski Club to Smuggs March 2nd - 4th 2012. The $306 price includes transportation, lodging, unlimited use of fitness and recreation center, 2 buffet breakfasts and 1 sit down dinner. Attention Parents of PHS Seniors.  If you would like the collage committee to make your collage for Gradnite please drop off or mail your pictures to PHS ASAP. If you intend to make your own collage, a Collage Workshop will be held Thursday, January 26th 6:45 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. at the Southbury Library. Early Dismissal Procedure

Board policy prohibits us from interrupting classes for non-emergency events. 

We ask that personal appointments for students be made after school hours.  When this is not possible, please follow the procedure outlined below. 
1)  Permission for early dismissal must be requested by a parent/guardian in writing.  The student must bring this note to the main office by 7:20 a.m.
2)  The office will call the parent/guardian to verify the early dismissal.
3)  The student will take the approved note to the attendance office to sign out, and will be issued a pass to leave the school grounds.
4) The student will meet the parent/guardian outside in the front of the building.
